5 Days Of Lunches/ Snacks For Kids ........ With Sonal Kulshrestha

It's The Quesadilla Week!
Go ahead and buy two different kinds of quesadillas, two different kinds of cheese and at least two different kinds of vegetables that your kids enjoy. Also add paneer and chicken or ham slices to the list.
MON: Egg Quesadilla
In a pan,
Put a little bit of olive oil,
Place a tortilla,  roast a little, turn side and roast again.
Place the other tortilla  and roast both sides again.
Pour a well beaten white of one egg with a little bit of yellow on top of the tortilla.
Don't worry if it spills over. As it cooks, use the spatula to put it back on the tortilla.
Turn it over so the egg cooks.
Turn it back and add shredded mozzarella cheese (or any cheese that your child loves) on to the egg.
Cover with the other tortilla. Roast both sides well.
Cut into four pieces.

Hot and easy egg Quesadilla is ready for your "famished" ( they sure know how to exaggerate, don't they;)) child!

TUE: Paneer Quesadilla

Follow steps as above, with the two tortilla.

Cut rectagular slices of paneer.

Place the slices on top of one of the tortilla on the pan.

Turn the tortilla over with the spatula, being careful with the paneer slices.

Turn it back, you'll find the paneer slices roasted as in the picture.

Sprinkle whatever seasonings you have lying in the house.

Place the other tortilla on the top and press together.

Assure both sides are well roasted.

Hot and easy paneer quesadilla is ready for your "starving" child!
WED: Ham Quesadilla

Follow steps as above, with the two tortilla.

Place a slice of ham on top of one of the tortilla on the pan.

Turn the tortilla over with the spatula, being careful with the ham slice.

Turn it back, you'll find the ham slice roasted.

Sprinkle shredded cheese and whatever seasonings you have lying in the house.

Place the other tortilla on the top and press together.

Assure both sides are well roasted.

Hot and easy ham quesadilla is ready for your "so very hungry" child!

(Vegetarians, substitute ham with boiled potatoes for that "aloo ka paratha" taste.)

THUR: Peas Quesadilla (or Veggie Quesadilla)

Follow steps as above, with the two tortilla.

Add cut and quickly sautéed mushroom or peas (in picture, peas are mashed with spatula) or bell peppers or whatever veggies you can sneak in AND get away with.

Add seasonings and salt as desired.

Hot and easy veggie quesadilla is ready for your "ravenous" (as they grow their vocab gets better, right?) child!
FRI: Cheese Quesadilla  (keep it simple, we don't want to kill their appetite before that party now, right?)

Follow steps as above, with the two tortilla.

Sprinkle shredded cheese and whatever seasonings you have lying in the house.

Place the other tortilla on the top and press together.

Assure both sides are well roasted.
