The movie is a re-make of at least two movies that are well known, but the names cannot be revealed for that giveth the plot away. Watch and tell us which ones comes to your mind.

#1. The Cast: At a young age of 28, Kanagana Ranaut has certainly proved her A-list status in the Hindi film industry repeatedly right from Gangster (2006), to Fashion (2008), Queen (2014) and Tanu Weds Manu series (2011, 2015). There was a few scenes that Kanagana really scores in- makes you burst out laughing. At 32, Imran Khan still has the "college boy" looks that never ceases to work for him, especially in romantic movies like this one. The 'side-e-s' are very noticeably good in their performance- the parents and the friends.

#2. The Plot and the pace-

Like I said, the plot is nothing new, nothing original. Except that it is incorporated the relationship concepts of today's youths and the young confident today's woman. The pace is good and gets even better in later half.

#3. The Set/ Locations

Personally, I loved the interior decoration of every single home shown in the movie. The movie gets full marks on stare-worthy sets. The apartment the two love birds share is specially brilliantly designed in vintage classic and contemporary style. Interesting to see the current generation's very western concept of destination- wedding, but even more interesting was the fact that the destination was in India. Full marks to the makers to not take off to Bali or Malaysia or

#4. The Songs

Love the music, the lyrics and the voice. You have to watch to appreciate.

Unfortunately, each of the above mentioned positive has a negative ring.

#1. Lead Roles- Same old look and role : Kangana is good but it surprises you that she would take on a role like this right on the heels of her Queen and Tanu Weds Manu. She steals the show in couple of scenes, but doesn't get to add to her list of many varied roles that she has played at her young age. Imran Khan is really a repeat of Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008), Break Ke Baad (2010), Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012), Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013).

In short, they both bring nothing new, nothing different to the table.

#2.The plot- done before: here again, the makers offer nothing new, nothing different in terms of the over-all plot. It's been done before and more than once. You'll try to guess the plot, you'll be deliberately misled, only to find you were right all along. Again, will not reveal the plot, but there really can be 2 explanations. (Let us know what was your pick of the two post-watching).

We Say:

Remaking movies with new generation of actors is not a new concept, neither is it grounds to skip the movie. The new generation of movie does bring new characteristics of 'today's' into the relationship, in the wardrobe as well in the personalities of the lovers. However, considering that the above has been seen in a lot of movies lately, this movie at best qualifies as worthy of home-viewing. Unless you're a die-hard Kanagana fan and love listening to good songs in the context of the movie. By the way, the movie is PG-13.
