“SAT Math course is really good because it helped me learn a lot in a short period of time and I made a perfect score on SAT Math.”- Josette Chang

India's visionary leader, Mr. Narendra Modi, made it into the 2014 Forbes' list of world's most powerful people, ranking 15th in the list that is headed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, followed by the US President Barack Obama. Incidentally, Putin beats Obama second time in a row.

On Modi-

Forbes gives the 64 year old Indian Prime Minister's marital status as separated and education as Bachelor of Arts / Science, Delhi University; Master of Arts, Gujarat University. It goes on to say-

'India's newest rock star doesn't hail from Bollywood. He is the newly elected prime minister who sailed into office in May with a landslide victory, ushering the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) into power after decades of control by the Gandhi dynasty. A Hindu nationalist allegedly responsible for encouraging and allowing communal violence and sectarianism in the Gujarat riots in 2002 and on a U.S. no-entry list since 2005 to 2014, Modi is credited with massive reconstruction projects in his home state of Gujarat. His administration promises to bring economic rejuvenation to other beleaguered parts of India. The world is as impressed as the citizens of India: So far he's toured the U.S. and China, and met with his Southeast Asian neighbors.'

Others on the list-

Among the rich and/ or the famous who hail from India or is of Indian origin are-

  • Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries Chairman, at 36,
  • Lakshmi Mittal, ArcelorMittal Chairman and CEO, at 57 and
  • Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO,  at 64.
Other world renowned picks in the list of 72 by Forbes are-
  • Bill Gates at 7,
  • Mark Zuckerberg at 22,
  • Bill Clinton at 44,
  • Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba and China's richest man at 30

We say-

Ever since Mr. Modi came to power, India is being watched by the world. The Modi movement going on in India is being followed closely by people of Indian origin all over the world with interest and hope. Corporations across the globe is keeping a keen eye on the reformations that are expected to come. According to a study by Twiplomacy, Modi is the sixth most followed world leader on Twitter.

As per a report in TOI, Narendra Modi has the fastest growing Facebook page for any elected official in the world. After US president Barack Obama, who has over 40 million fan following on Facebook, Modi is the second most popular politician in the world.

Considering the above facts, it is no surprise that Modi makes it in the Forbes' list of world's powerful people. Now all we hope and pray for is that he uses his power to prove people's pick perfect.
